Jungle and Radioville are teaming up with Metro and Asda
today, Monday 2 November, to take part in Do It Day, the global
movement led by The Drum, bringing marketers together to solve issues facing
businesses, communities and the world at large.
Metro, in partnership with Asda, set the Do It Day marketers a challenge, to amplify the newspaper’s Good Deed Feed which promotes
acts of kindness among its readers. Today, they launch Good Deed Day and will
be pitching UK regions against each other to see which can do the most amount
of good deeds in one day.
The campaign kicked off first thing with features in each of
the Metro’s 10 regional editions, setting out the challenge to its readers and
asking them to do a good deed and share it on Twitter. As part of the activity,
Radioville and Jungle have recorded an audio call to action which is airing
this morning.
Later today, Jungle and Radioville have the task of
recording a second call to action live from Do It Day’s headquarters at IBM’s
London offices. However, and here’s the real challenge, it’s not just one, they
will be recording 10 different versions, one for each region. And they’ll be
pulling in other Do It Day participants to help.
If all goes to plan these will air on Monday afternoon. Follow on Twitter with #JungleIsSound to see how it gets on. You can follow all the news
from the day at #doitday.
