Whisky brand J.P. Wiser's teams up with Detroit's Red Wings for its latest campaign from Ogilvy Canada.
It’s a tale of a friendly US-Canadian city rivalry, embodied by two amateur hockey teams, playing on the same ice as the Detroit Red Wings, which is fun timing, given the team’s playoff run!
The first-ever JP Wiser's Cup brought together two neighbouring teams who both embody the brand’s spirit of 'Wisely Done'. Coached by the beloved Danny Dekeyser, the Flyin’ Hawaiians from Detroit is the only co-ed team in their league, while Windsor’s Pops and Tots, coached by Hall of Famer Larry Murphy, is a group of father-son pairs making memories together.
Inspired by the kind of beer league devotion to sports that so many adults enjoy, and having taken place at the legendary Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, this game offers fans of all stripes a feel-good way to appreciate the power of community and competition that sport embodies.
