Europe’s leading creative digital production company – has appointed Jon Biggs as creative director of its London office. Joining from acclaimed production studio Specialmoves, Biggs aims to reinforce the communication of creative ideas between MediaMonks' agency-clients and the digital production process.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of MediaMonks’ UK office, which is now responsible for more than a third of the company’s annual revenue. With more than twenty awards for work deriving from its London operations in 2013 alone, MediaMonks is now turning up the quality by increasing its pool of talent.
“MediaMonks has been delivering some of the finest digital work London has seen in recent years,” says partner and CEO, Victor Knaap. “Adding an individual such as Jon to our UK team, who has fifteen years of digital experience, will safeguard the integrity of our agency-clients' creative ideas in the digital production process.”
As digital sidekick to many of the top advertising agencies, MediaMonks is renowned for its collaborative approach to digital production – working in close synergy with agencies rather than operating as an independent vendor. Biggs explains that this school of thought is also embedded internally, with MediaMonks relaying work from its offices around the world to its central production powerhouse in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
“I hope to strengthen the bridge between the creative teams of our agency-clients and MediaMonks’ digital production process,” says Biggs. “I’ve been creating, designing and building interactive things since 1999. At that time digital was all about cramming as many frames as possible into a 12KB GIF banner. I’m excited to get my hands on the wealth of production resources that allows us to develop virtually anything we and our clients can dream of.”
