Johannes Leonardo has recently made a strategic addition to its leadership team by welcoming Jonathan Daly as the agency's new head of communications strategy. With over 15 years of industry experience spanning agency and in-house roles, Daly has consistently showcased his prowess in innovative media and go-to-market thinking for some of the world's most prominent brands.
Steve Zaroff, chief strategy officer of Johannes Leonardo, aptly describes the agency's view of creativity as the “dynamic interplay between context, content, and consumer. Jon's extensive expertise and experience in creative thinking align perfectly with our agency's philosophy. His expertise and depth of experience doing just that kind of creative thinking will be a boon to our agency and to our clients."
"I couldn't be more stoked to be joining the Johannes Leonardo team,” said Jon Daly. “I've always been such an admirer of the work this agency creates, and the innovative ways this merry band of adfolk have helped brands find new ways to meet consumers where they are and truly earn their attention. I'm as excited to roll up my sleeves and get into the work, as I am to be working with, and learning from, some of the best creative thinkers in the game."
Jon's extensive biography showcases a wealth of experience across various sectors, including most recently as head of communications strategy at Droga5, where he honed his skills in shaping brand and go-to-market strategies. His track record also features engagements with major brands such as Meta, Hard Rock Sportsbook, Instagram, Verizon, and more. Daly's unique background includes a stint as a Senior External Relations Officer with the World Bank Group, further underscoring his ability to excel in diverse and complex environments. His insights and expertise will undoubtedly be a significant asset to JL’s agency and clients.
Jon formally joined the JL team Monday, August 14th, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter for the agency.
Daly's hire rounds out additional members to the strategy team including recently hired group strategy director - Julianna Katrancha who was tapped to lead the Kraft Heinz business. Julianna came to JL from FIG where she worked on brands including Benjamin Moore and Illumina, prior to that she honed her strategy skills at McCann working on Chick-fil-A and ebay.
