The deadline for the James Brown Music Video Challenge has been extended to 16th July. Filmmakers are invited to create a music video for one of 4 iconic James Brown tracks; Sex Machine, Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag, It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World, and Try Me.
The winning promo will be shown at BUG at the BFI Southbank on 30th August, and its director will be given the opportunity to work on a project at a key office in the Saatchi & Saatchi global network. Genero.tv and Universal Music have increased the prize money for the director of the winning film for each track to $4,000.
The challenge is collaboration between Saatchi & Saatchi, Genero.tv, BUG Music Videos and Universal Music Enterprises (Ume), aimed at discovering fresh filmmaking talent, and presenting iconic tracks by music legend James Brown to a new generation.
Judging the winner will be directors from this year’s New Directors’ Showcase, members of the Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide Creative Board, Genero.tv, BUG and Universal Music.
Winner to be announced on 30thJuly.
