VCCP has teamed up with Which? on the consumer watchdog’s latest campaign: #UNMUTEUK in collaboration with spoken word artist George The Poet and producer and multi-instrumentalist Jakwob.
#UNMUTEUK asks the public to sign a petition calling on the Government to ensure that when you speak up, staff in public services listen and act on your concerns. People often don’t complain because they don’t think anything will be done. VCCP launched their online campaign on Thursday 3 July.
“We are really pleased such influential British artists are working with us on this campaign. We want people to take a stand in order to make their voices heard and complaints count in public services. ” says Alex Neill, Head of Campaigns and Communications at Which?
In alignment with the disruptive nature of Which?’s ambitions, the team at VCCP worked together to bring to life a fittingly bold campaign. To build awareness of the petition, VCCP partnered with successful producer Jakwob and spoken word artist George The Poet to create an exclusive music track for #UNMUTEUK.
The track will be “muted” and posted on both Which?’s and the artists’ social media sites, inspiring people to sign the petition and support the campaign. The track will only be unmuted and released once the petition reaches 50,000 signatures. The track will be promoted through social media using the hashtag #UNMUTEUK.
