The Jack Link’s brand will be turning heads with its most wildly irreverent campaign yet - 'Feed Your Wild Side' - that’s a refreshing dose of unexpected humour with two new spots launching during March Madness.
The spots aim to show Jack Link’s is more than just an easy snack for on-the-go activities, it’s a protein snack to enjoy whenever, wherever. The spots feature everyone’s favourite jerky-loving creature, Sasquatch, in two relatively mundane situations that turn outrageous when the snacker feeds his wild side with Jack Link’s:
'Trim': A routine haircut turns a bit aggressive when the barber chows down on a Jack Link’s beef stick.
'Stream': A quick bite of Jack Link’s jerky and the scene at a men’s urinal becomes well…downright wild when his inner sasquatch is revealed.
Jack Link’s reminds snackers that jerky can help you fuel up and unleash your inner wild side because if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it. So, 'feed your wild side.
Fallon is the creative lead for this campaign and has been Jack Link’s AOR since 2021.
“Snacks should be fun. For decades, at Jack Link’s we’ve embraced that approach full-stop. Our wide portfolio of delicious protein snacks help fuel you up for all your favourite adventures, but we’re also known for memorable Messin’ with Sasquatch marketing. Wild and irreverent humour is at the core of our brand. Sometimes life and even advertising can feel too serious. As we welcome a younger consumer to our brand, we really want Jack Link’s to make you laugh and help you check out of the mundane routine of life,” explains Stephanie Moats Leibke, vice president, marketing for Jack Link’s. “With this campaign our partners at Fallon helped us take a bold and daring edge with humour, and we know our Jack Link’s consumers are going to love it.”
“Sometimes embracing the literal interpretation of a brand can really unleash a whole different level of humour,” says Leslie Shaffer, co-chief creative officer, Fallon. “Jack Link’s has Sasquatch and the Feed Your Wild Side tagline. So we brought them to life, quite literally. The result is good fun that’s perfectly suited for our snacker. Eat Jack Link’s. And get a little wild. Your Sasquatch is ready to emerge.”
