The band's frontman Mike Skinner directs music video with production by Pulse Films
Pulse Films has launched the latest music video for British band The Streets. Entitled ‘Call Me In the Morning’, it was directed by the band's frontman Mike Skinner.
"Mike's creative vision was clear from the start," says Pulse producer Erin Sayder. "He wanted to create a world in which absolutely everything, from the house plants to the beer in his cup, was black.
"We had to think carefully about how to go about it from a production and design point of view; as well as with the cinematography. We decided to go with a slightly warmer look, using fake windows in the house to shine some light through. When we decided we wanted to shoot 4:3, our art department had to build another flat just for the front of the house so that it was tall enough for the shot."
The video was shot entirely in one day, with one set build say in the studio the day, making for a few nerves for Erin. "At the start of the set build, I was a little nervous we didn't have enough time as it was a pretty big job but art director Benny Casey and his team really pulled it out the bag, especially given the constraints we had.
"The shoot went really smoothly. As usual we were chasing time a little but we had an amazing crew who worked really hard to make it all happen."
