‘The World’s Strongest Women’ Campaign earns international AME award for In the Company of Huskies and Allianz Ireland
New York Festivals AME Awards celebrating effectiveness world-wide since 1994, announced the 2022 award-winners.
AME awards are the esteemed global awards that honour top creative work from agencies all over the world. It has a 28-year legacy of awarding global campaigns that successfully demonstrate innovative solutions and achieve measurable results.
Huskies and Allianz won in the ‘Creativity for Positive Impact category’ for their campaign with Women’s Aid ‘The World’s Strongest Women’, taking home a bronze.
One in four women in Ireland who have been in a relationship have experienced domestic abuse. To help raise awareness of this issue, Allianz partnered with Women’s Aid, a national charity dedicated to making women safe from domestic abuse. The stigma surrounding abuse stops one in three women from telling anyone. To start life-saving conversations, Huskies launched ‘The World’s Strongest Women’ which uses the tropes of sporting communications and flips the narrative around gender-based violence to highlight the strength it takes women to survive and speak up. Women’s Aid reported a 302% increase in contact.
Damian Hanley, creative director of the agency says, “Effectiveness awards prove that creativity can truly impact the success of brands and inspire positive change. Winning a global AME award is a huge achievement. Our Women’s Aid campaign has all the right ingredients to pull people in with a great strategic idea and powerful creative and the win is a tribute to our great client Allianz, partner Women’s Aid and our team at Huskies that are passionate about creating innovative work that genuinely connects with people and delivers results.”
