Myriam Van Neste is an artist, illustrator, and surface designer based in Quebec City, Canada. First trained in sculpture in Montréal and then in Helsinki, Finland, her practice focuses on colourful collages and illustrations.
Myriam loves to do her artwork with her hands, so every project begins with scissors, colourful paper, and a playful collage session. Her work aims to create joyful universes and can be found in a multitude of media, from textile designs and book covers, to food packaging and murals.
With a background in visual arts, Myriam always loved drawing, and for the first decade of her artistic practice her work focused mostly on large sculptural installations and public art. After she had kids, she started experimenting with paper collages any chance she got, and this creative outlet slowly led her to illustration.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Myriam enjoys baking for her family and traveling and draws inspiration from kids' art, nature, and her love for exploring new destinations.
