ICONOCLAST London links up with British photographer/director Samuel Bradley.
For years Samuel has carved out a name for himself as one of the newest and brightest photographic and cinematic voices in the UK. Working steadily for brands such as On Running, Belstaff, Jo Malone, Cartier, Gap, Zara, Nina Ricci, Ugg amongst others. His signature in the print world is indelible and well-known.
The partnership between Iconoclast and Samuel is all about expanding his work as director. Samuel’s music videos for 1975, V, and short films Dam and his Vogue piece with Emma Corrin show a budding filmmaker with above all a conceptual mind. And effortless cool. His films have a signature minimalism and simplicity which expands into elegant and iconic images that are at once fashion centric but also perfectly filmic. And we dare say also lightly comedic!
Iconoclast MD Jean Mougin notes, “Samuel has that ability to grab your attention from the first frame, owing to his ability as photographer, but the image evolves so quickly into a sort of question and beautiful riddle, often which he writes. He’s not just a print guy doing video too. There's a huge filmmaker there with Samuel and we’re so excited help show the world.” Jean also credits Samuel’s relationship with Iconoclast film and TV executive Sarah Pearson and Cartel&Co as being instrumental to the great work they have already done together for Cartier and Vogue."
