The Amsterdam based creative agency Ogilvy Social.Lab launches ‘Instant Intern’, a social savvy campaign custom made for students looking for an internship at a creative agency. The agency operates from a ‘social at heart’ point of view.
This brand new concept offers students the opportunity to become instantly noticed by the creative agency. Actively answering on Ogilvy Social.Lab’s Instagram stories could help land them an internship. Well, at least when you prove you are snappy and creative enough.
Executive creative director Tolga Büyükdoğanay said: “Here at Ogilvy Social.Lab, it doesn’t make sense for us to look for fresh emerging talent in a boring and traditional way. We are a social at heart company. That is why we have created a unique opportunity for talent around the world to easily connect with us, through our Instagram story.”
Swipe for your spot
With this campaign, Ogilvy Social.Lab aims to decrease the distance between talent and the agency by challenging potential interns with creative dilemmas through their Instagram stories. Creative challenges include; writing catchy copy, choosing suitable colours for a colour pallet or being able to name the correct fonts. 'Instant Intern' is fast, spot-on and offers students’ insight into the tone of voice of the agency. In three swipes you will know if it pulls on your heartstrings.
Does this end the era of written resumes? Absolutely not. The agency refers to this campaign as a refreshing way to enrich the current interviewing process.
The campaign kicks off with an opening for a copy-writing internship. Young talent is challenged to use their skills and imagination to write a tagline for an existing campaign image, on the spot and instantly.
