Greenfield Bacon Is Using Real-Time Marketing to Solve a True Crime

Bacon and Eggs belong together. Everyone knows that. But on Feb 1st, 2025, 100,000 eggs were stolen off the back of a trailer in Pennsylvania. To us at Greenfield Natural Meat Co., this is a travesty. 

As the police scramble to crack the case, Greenfield is looking to enlist the help of a different kind of detective – internet sleuths.

Introducing The Bacon Bounty. An offer of a year’s supply of free bacon to one cyber-Sherlock who helps crack the case of the missing eggs.

To get involved, Greenfield is asking people to simply share the MISSING EGGS poster, which can be found on TheBaconBounty.com and on Instagram @greenfieldmeatco. Or those with tips or clues about the whereabouts of the stolen eggs are encouraged to call their Bacon Bounty Tip Line at 1-877-4EGGTIP.

The winner will be picked by random draw or once the case is solved, whichever comes first.

People are passionate about finding the stolen eggs and, needless to say, so are we. At Greenfield, making meat right goes beyond responsible farming - it’s about doing the right thing, full stop. And sometimes, that also means stepping in to crack an egg heist wide open.” 

Created in collaboration with creative agency No Fixed Address, media agency FUSE, and influencer agency TIA, the campaign is being supported on social, OOH, and locally in the town and county where the theft took place.
