Juice, the full-service visual effects studio, was responsible for the creation and post-production of the running footage for Honda's upcoming series of commercials set to air in 2023. Working closely with in-house director Michal Misinski, the team shot the footage last year and completed post-production work over the past six months, as seen in the recently released director’s cut.
Piotr Koczan, CG supervisor at Juice, commented, "Post-production offers almost limitless opportunities. While the cars did not explode in the commercial, the visual effects workload was still extensive and only seemingly unnoticeable. We pride ourselves in equipping Honda with high-quality footage that stands out visually and will help to tell their story effectively,”
Michal Misinski showcases his director's cut that incorporates footage from the Honda campaign along with the introduction of professional athlete Antonio Leiva. Antonio, a multi-time champion in Red Bull Valparaíso Cerro Abajo and on his way to becoming a UCI World Master Champion in Downhill, was a part of the service crew during the Honda shoot.
"I met Antonio on the Honda shoot, where he was part of the service crew. He's a great guy! When I was putting together my director's cut, I knew I wanted to include his inspiring story with the footage we shot in Chile. I aimed to seamlessly incorporate his biking journey to showcase the new Honda model. It was a challenging task, but I'm pleased with how well the results blend," said Michal Misinski.
Apart from Antonio's story and the new Honda model, the director's cut also showcases the stunning landscapes of Chile and Argentina, making it a must-watch for biking enthusiasts, nature lovers, and automotive fans.
