Today, the two-time Emmy nominated production company, Hecho Studios, has announced Luis Farfán as its new head of content.
Luis joins Celeste Hubbard-Breen (president), as the studio grows its network of talented, diverse storytellers in order to continue crafting world-class content at the speed of culture.
Born and raised in central Mexico, Luis ended up in advertising by chance; with a background in music and arts, he started his career as a designer and art director for record labels and cultural organisations. In 2018, he became Sundance’s first Creative Director, building their creative department and organizing creative functions (content, design, editorial and social teams) under one umbrella. The creative team took on the massive task of creating and executing all of Sundance’s forward-facing campaigns, including the Sundance Film Festival. Prior to Sundance, he was Creative Director at Vice’s branded content studio where he led a team that developed long form content for brand partners such as Nike, W Hotels, Vans, Anheuser-Busch among others.
“I am thrilled to have the chance to create and develop content with the talented team at Hecho Studios. There are so many compelling stories waiting to be told - especially when it comes to sports - that I can’t wait to dig in and explore all the possibilities,” said Luis. “We are keenly positioned to grow and perfect our studio’s capabilities while carving out a distinct position in the market. Our team reflects what the future of creatives within our industry look like - incredibly diverse with a myriad of talents, some unconventional, which was one of the most compelling parts of Hecho and why I jumped at the chance to join.”
“Luis is the type of craft-obsessed maker that we are ecstatic to have join our team. As Hecho continues to focus their efforts in creating content that bolsters the passion of sport as well as developing emotional storytelling for tech partners and beyond, we’re excited to benefit from Luis’ creative expertise,” said Celeste Hubbard-Breen, president, Hecho Studios.
With a keen focus on sports and technology, Hecho Studios boasts a roster of work including: the NFL, NBA Players Association, Under Armour, BetMGM, Adobe, Call of Duty, United Airlines, Capital One and more. The studio also led the production of “The Real Heroes Project” where it helped bring together 14-professional US sports leagues for the first time to honor frontline workers during the pandemic.
