The video follows the charming adventure of a cleaning robot with big dreams of reaching the cosmos. We meet the little robot cleaning up backstage at a Harry Styles concert, when he looks up and is mesmerised by TV footage of Curiosity the Mars Rover. What follows is an ‘awe inspiring journey’ of a robot cleaner travelling through city streets, small alleys, unpredictable weather and into the unknown. City scapes give way to magnificent landscapes of the midwest as the little vivacious robot continues to roll towards his dreams, battling snow, wind and uneven ground. With Cape Canaveral in his sights, our robot friend is reunited with Harry and as the pair gaze up at the stars together over to the Kennedy Space Center, the little cleaning robot’s battery sadly dies.
Aube Perrie, director, said: “We lived the most beautiful journey together, making this special project. It now feels like watching a kid finally leaving the family home to live a journey of his own. And just as a parent, we’re as proud of its journey so far and excited for its future as we are heartbroken to see it end for us. Though I wouldn’t know cause I don’t have kids. But with this little one, it sometimes felt like it. It was an adventure you wish would never end."
Rik Green, executive producer at Pulse Films added: “Aube's ability to craft a concept that mixes perfectly the music and the visual makes him standout. It's also great when you get to work with artists like Harry and his team who are so up for colouring outside the lines and really trusting.”
‘Satellite’ is the fourth single off Harry Styles's album ‘Harry’s House.’ Aube previously directed the global music artist’s last single ‘Music for a Sushi Restaurant’.
It is Aube Perrie’s second music video to drop this week, as earlier in the week Swedish rock band The Hives made a return to the music scene with their track ‘Bogus Operandi’.
