Groundglass-produced Shorts Named 'Short Film Project' Finalists

In partnership with Ster Kinekor’s Cinema Nouveu and Short and Sweet, the “Short Film Project” challenged both established and new filmmakers to produce and enter a short film of ten minutes or less. A panel of film and cinema industry judges then reviewed the entries to compile a short list of 10 finalists that have made it onto the big screen.

Groundglass is proud to announce its association with three short films that have made it through as finalists. 'Birdman' directed by Rob Nicholls and produced by Groundglass, 'True-Jose' directed by Mandla Shonhiwa and produced by Grounglass, and finally 'In Foreign Transit', directed by Dewalt Brandt in association with Groundlass.

Each short film will be shown at the beginning of and run concurrently with a selected number of Cinema Nouveau feature film releases. Groundglass wishes a big congratulations to all 10 Finalists.
