Leading New York-based production company Greencard has added Zac Stuart-Pontier to its roster of directors. Most recently, Zac served as editor, one of the writers and co-producer of HBO’s miniseries “The Jinx,” which is currently airing with rave reviews. The accomplished editor of the groundbreaking documentary “Catfish,” on which he was also a co-producer, will be heading to direct commercial work with Greencard.
“Zac’s experience brings a unique perspective to Greencard and allows him to direct succinct shoots that tell beautiful stories,” says Emily Wiedemann, Executive Producer at Greencard. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to our team.”
Previously, Zac played double duty as editor and second unit director on the 2011 Sundance award-winner “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” which, according to Indiewire, “might be the best edited film of the 2010s so far.” Zac’s previous editing works spans from SXSW award winner “NY Export: Opus Jazz,” to numerous short films, music videos and commercials notably for Citibank, Sperry, Nike, The Shins and Missy Elliot.
