The Social Element, the world’s largest, independent social media agency, has added Amy Gilbert as its new director of social content.
The Social Element boasts a diverse global network of people and clients. The addition of Amy to the company’s 350-strong staff across the world further strengthens the agency’s ongoing ambition to challenge conventional agency models while celebrating diversity, female entrepreneurialism and safety online.
Most recently with 360i, Amy arrives at The Social Element with a copious amount of social media capabilities and industry know-how. As associate director of Social for 360i, Amy led a team of social marketers and strategists while partnering with creatives to produce social content for top CPG and fashion brands, such as Mondelez, OREO, HanesBrands Inc. and Nestlé Waters.
Prior to 360i, Amy worked for Fodor's Travel (then a part of Random House) as their forum moderator and community manager. In total, Amy will bring over 11 years of social media experience to The Social Element.
“As our new director of social content, Amy will help lead our social content discipline in the United States,” says Ashley Cooksley, managing director for North America. “She brings a fresh point of view and understanding of consumer culture to our clients that will cause captivating and impactful social content solutions.”
As a consultant with a people-first approach to management and social media planning, Amy is thrilled to work for an agency with a similar approach:
“The agency’s path mirrored my own career evolution, where I initially focused on community management and moderation. Over time, I transformed that knowledge into helping brands unlock their unique DNA and create engaging social content,” Amy continued. “In addition, I appreciate The Social Element’s focus on genuine human connection, represented by both how they approach staff and how they pursue social engagement.”
