Gravity Road, the Cannes Lions award-winning creative company, has made two senior appointments - Joanna Osborn as Head of Creative Services and Samirah Ravin as Financial and Commercial Director – that will help drive the continuing success of Gravity Road’s business, and equip it for future growth and development.
Joanna will head up creative operations, integrating creative, production and client teams, as well as working with external partners to ensure the very best execution on projects. Formerly Content Business Director at BBH London, Joanna has fifteen years experience in the agency world, including work on high profile projects for Vodaphone, Unilever, Barclays and Johnnie Walker Global. During her time at BBH, Joanna managed and oversaw the business of the creative department. Most recently she launched Audi's new revolutionary showroom concept and secured legendary A-list artist Paul McCartney in partnership with Universal Music to feature in the first instalment of Bang & Olufsen's 'Living Room Tour'.
Samirah will be assuming control of the agency’s financial and commercial operations, across both client campaigns and Gravity Road’s own intellectual properties and platforms. For the last eight years, Samirah has supported the financial and commercial operations of advertising and PR companies. A qualified accountant, Samirah started her career in the industry at AMVBBDO before moving on to the position of Financial Controller at BMB. Most recently, Samirah was Finance Director at PRCo, where she helped drive the strategic direction of the company and grow new departments of the business, such as the in-house production team.
Mark Eaves and Mark Boyd, Co-Founders, Gravity Road said: “Joanna and Samirah are exceptionally talented and their experience will advance our offering as we build our portfolio of top brand clients and develop current relationships. We are leading the way in new ways of behaviour in the agency world, and the arrival and Joanna and Samirah will help to further build this ethos.”
Joanna Osborn said: “Gravity Road is a very ambitious and motivated company with some fantastic projects and talent, and it gives me the challenge that I was looking for. My new role is to drive and facilitate both entrepreneurialism and ambition to further build the business' growing success.”
Samirah Ravin adds: “As an avid and discerning consumer of content, I instantly realised Gravity Road was one of the UK’s leading agencies after I saw the films from the Bombay Sapphire Imagination Series. I was also really impressed with the achievement of the business in such a short period of time and I am looking forward to applying my commercial perspective so we can further grow the company together.”
