Valentine’s Day is all about showing that special person in your life that you love them but what if that special person isn’t a person at all?
It turns out that pets are the second most gifted recipients on Valentine’s Day with Brits splashing £27 million on their pets last year.
It was just this sort of loveable insight that Sainsbury’s needed to deliver a canine caper with some cut through.
The film, born from this insight, showcases our beloved pooch Barley in a Valentine’s tale of jealousy, revenge and forgiveness. We see Barley the dog as he is neglected by his owner who is caught up in the preparation of a Valentine’s day date. Only to have Barley reap his revenge by burying all of his owners carefully laid plans. However, when the date finally arrives, Barley quickly realises he’s made a terrible error of judgement.
