Wunderman Thompson today announced that Gorilla Group, the end-to-end commerce company, will rebrand as Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology. The rebrand will complete the business’ integration, following Gorilla Group’s 2018 acquisition and bring together specialized tech capabilities across North America to strengthen the Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology offering, adding to the agency’s ability to inspire growth for ambitious brands. The change will be effective during Q2 of the current fiscal year.
As part of this move, Gorilla Group COO, Adam Brown, will be named CEO of Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology in North America effective immediately. Current Gorilla Group CEO, Brian Grady, will move into an advisory role. Additionally, experts in mobile and connected device enablement Wunderman Thompson Apps, and commerce specialists, Diff, will add to the breadth of capabilities within Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology NA.
The reimagined entity combines diverse specialists to create a purpose-built experience, commerce, and technology offering, which enables brands and businesses to be digital-first, future-ready, and equipped to inspire and engage their customers across every interaction. With comprehensive capabilities that extend across owned, retail, and marketplace channels, and deep expertise in B2B and D2C commerce, Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology NA will serve as a digital transformation change agent and deliver measurable outcomes to enterprise businesses across industries and business models.
