Brazilians do not miss out on sun in Brazil, which is why Giovanni + Draftfcb created an ad for NIVEA Sun that uses solar energy to charge cell phones.
The ad, which was distributed in Veja Rio for a selected mailing, was made with a solar panel as thin as paper and a plug for people to connect their phone. The ad took eight months to produce, six months of technology development and two months of printing.
"NIVEA Sun protects skin from the sun, allowing even more people to enjoy sunny days. Our goal is to offer benefits that go beyond skin care, so when the agency introduced the ad to us, we found the idea innovative and one that directly linked to our position,” explains Tatiana Ponce, director of marketing and trade for NIVEA.
