“Orrible” written and directed by Giles Ripley won Best Comedy on the closing night of Super Shorts International Film Festival 2011.
Giles graduated from Chelsea Arts College as a video artist in 2008 and has exhibited under Kay Saatchi, internationally under Richard Patterson, in New Contemporaries at the Liverpool Biennial, and has been tipped as one of the "Ten Emerging Artists To Watch" in The Times. He and his work recently appeared on School Of Saatchi, a BBC2 series in which he was selected to present in the last 12 in a pool of over 3000 competing artists by the likes of Charles Saatchi, Matthew Collings and Tracey Emin. Giles is repped by PretzelFilms UK.
A prodigious talent, he has just finished a new comedy short called Happy Birthday Jim. He has sharp and insightful humour and likes to push comedic boundaries.
