Montreal-based skateboarding brand Dime and Adidas announces the launch of their latest digital campaign celebrating the iconic Stan Smith shoe. Directed by Martin C Pariseau, this innovative campaign blends the worlds of sports, fashion, and humour in an unforgettable way.
To mark the release of the new Stan Smith shoe, Dime and Adidas have crafted a campaign that features a roster of iconic personalities, including skateboarder Nora Vasconcellos, skater Hugo Balek, renowned music producer Darude (famous for the hit ‘Sandstorm’), and former world number one tennis player and fashion icon Stan Smith.
In a creative twist, Dime envisioned a unique tennis match where skateboards replace rackets, turning the traditional game on its head. The filming spanned from the central court of the IGA stadium to the trophy display in Stan Smith's home in South Carolina, adding an authentic and personal touch to the campaign
“When Dime approached me with the idea of a tennis match using skateboards instead of rackets, I immediately said yes, and the ideas started flowing,” says director Martin C Pariseau. “Alexandre Nour, our director of photography, and I had just seen ‘Challengers’, the latest film by Luca Guadagnino, and we were inspired to replicate its aesthetic in a humorous and unpretentious way.”
Martin continues, “This project perfectly reflects my passion for sports and comedy. It was an incredibly fun and creative experience that allowed us to combine unexpected elements to create something really cool. A big thank you to my producer Sise Drummond from Telescope Films, who made it all happen!”
The digital campaign is available on various social media platforms and online channels.
