Director Theo Skudra takes music videos to the next level with NOKIA, Drake’s latest visual masterpiece.
Produced by Denim and shot on 65mm film with IMAX cameras, the video merges high-scale cinematic techniques with custom-built set pieces. Designed by Lewis James and brought to life by a dedicated local team, the production featured 20 foot OVO monoliths, a Chrome Hearts boat and monster truck, a massive LED corridor, and even a 50-foot blimp. The energy was amplified by 40 Caribana dancers in bespoke costumes, 60 dancers choreographed by the legendary Tanisha Scott, and six live owls adding an unexpected touch.
The video, which debuted at Toronto’s Scotiabank Theatre in IMAX, is both futuristic and nostalgic. Theo’s passion for pushing creative boundaries is on full display, making this one of his most visually stunning projects yet.
