I’m back from my respite; from my week long period of suspended activity. Whilst I hid in the Greek sun, you were entertained and regaled by our guest editorials from Faris Yakob and Joe Sinclair. It transpires that not only did these two manage to capture your attention but, looking at the analytics, you loved hearing from them, and were happy to share and tweet with fellow colleagues and industry folk. Many thanks to you and to them both. It’s pity that Mr Yakob shan’t be joining us all in Cannes this year – worst luck, he shall be missed.
Speaking of which, it appears I’ve come back to an inbox of invitations, all of which I shall be answering over the next few days. Apologies to those of you who have kindly sent me requests for meetings and have offered me opportunities to bust out my granny dance moves. RSVPs will be answered ASAP. For those of you who are attending Cannes and would like to meet with the Little Black Book team – get in touch, we’d love to catch up or meet you.
Not sure if you’ve noticed, but over this week we’ve been uploading profiles for our beach ‘Le Plage Courage’ sponsors. In case you haven’t heard (if you’re living under a rock!), we have a beach in Cannes, on La Croisette, between the Carlton and the Martinez. From Tuesday to Friday you can come and hang out with us in the sun, catch up with colleagues, hold meetings or have five minutes to yourself… I’m hoping to be there as much as possible throughout the week, but shall probably (by the looks of my inbox) be whizzing up and down the Croisette from meeting to meeting like a crazy lady. Our founder, Matt Cooper and our publisher, Sarah Cooper will be there all day, every day and I know they’d love to have a packed out venue. Apologies for the short but sweet write-up; I haven’t thought advertising in a while and therefore need a few days at work to get back up to pace. In the meantime, please do continue to send me your news, I’m always happy to receive interview and story suggestions and I do love a good invite – feel free to send me any that you may have.
Best,
Gabby
