Alex Orma directs the campaign from DDB Belgium and produced by CZAR Brussels

Director Alex Orma has teamed up with agency DDB and production company CZAR to deliver a captivating and humorous campaign film that celebrates the unique combination of Flemish cuisine and cycling culture. The film, for Visit Flanders, showcases the culinary delights of Flanders while paying homage to the region's vibrant cycling tradition. On Sunday, March 31st, it's the Tour of Flanders, also known as Flanders' finest, the cycling high mass of the Flemish spring.  

In the heart warming narrative, viewers are introduced to a woman facing a conflict: losing clients due to the continuous stream of cyclists. Traditionally, tourists from far and wide have flocked to Flanders to indulge in the classic Flemish dish, stoofvlees friet (beef stew and fries). However, with cyclists prioritising speed over leisurely dining experiences, she devises a clever solution to merge the joys of Flemish cycling with the irresistible allure of delicious food. 

The campaign film not only serves as a testament to Flanders' rich gastronomic heritage but also invites viewers to experience the region's unparalleled offerings first hand. From conquering legendary bergs and cobbles like the Paterberg, the Muur van Geraardsbergen, to the Oude Kwaremont, to indulging in a hearty plate of Flemish beef stew and Belgian fries, the film encourages audiences to embark on a culinary and cycling adventure like never before.
