Created by Joint with director Charlotte Regan and featuring actress Lyndsey Marshal, the English Collective of Prostitutes’ new campaign shines a light on the dangers sex workers face under the current laws and the positive effect decriminalisation could have.
It’s legal to be a sex worker in the UK but illegal to work together. By forcing sex workers to work alone, the UK law puts 70,000 women’s lives at risk.
The campaign asks that people sign the petition to the government to stop it being a crime to work together and make all women safe.
The campaign film was launched to mark International Sex Worker’s Rights Day on March 3rd and International Women’s Day on March 8th.
The ECP is a national organisation of sex workers fighting for decriminalisation of sex work, for safety, for rights and for economic alternatives so that women can leave prostitution if they choose.
