Filling the Gap - founded by Kat Andrikopoulos, Janice Liu and Sadie Simon in 2016 - is a not-for-profit empowerment and equity conference that hosts workshops, panel discussions and networking events while raising money for local charities, including the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic in Toronto.
This upcoming event, while open to all identities, is centred around Queer Joy and Authenticity, and promises a night of inspiration and celebration of being our truest selves both in and outside of the workplace. Tickets are still available here.
The event will feature a panel discussion with Shant Joshi, president of Fae Pictures; Sarah Thompson, president of Dentsu Media; Ria Iyengar, business director at Cossette; and Eva Bloom, Queer Sexuality Educator and Sex Science Communicator. It will be moderated by one of the event’s organisers, Bella Iannetta, senior strategist at Cossette.
“I am honoured to moderate Filling the Gap’s first networking event for Queer Joy and Authenticity,” says Bella. “It’s so important to celebrate and provide a safe space for young people from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as they develop in their careers and show up as their authentic selves.”
The presenting sponsor for the evening is Plus Company, an alliance of agencies that includes Cossette, Cossette Media, Camp Jefferson, Middle Child, We Are Social, and more.
