Feminine Hygiene Brand Uses Halloween to Increase Education Around Vaginal Health

U by Kotex teams up with Hannah Berner and VaynerMedia for special costume helping women feel comfortable discussing health issues

In celebration of Halloween, U by Kotex partnered with beloved host Hannah Berner and VaynerMedia on a special costume designed to represent the lack of information and normalcy surrounding menstruation and combat period embarrassment head on, as part of the brand’s mission to normalise periods and ensure women feel comfortable to talk about important issues related to their health. 

According to a 2020 U by Kotex survey conducted with Lieberman Research Worldwide, it was determined that 74% of women feel self-conscious while on their period. The latest activation from U by Kotex, the brand is working to end these stigmas and talk openly about vaginal health by providing tools and resources to share valuable information re: menstrual health.

A play on celebrity costumes, the period pad outfit was designed to look like a U by Kotex pad and was on full display at the NYC Halloween Parade and on the streets where Hannah conducted interviews with passersby, to shed light on the need to increase education around vaginal health.
