FCB Montreal today announced that Sylvain Dufresne has joined the agency as Vice President and Head of Creative, where he will oversee the creative department, effective immediately.
After holding similar roles at Publicis and lg2, Dufresne joins the FCB team a year into President Samia Chebeir’s transformation of the Montreal office. His expertise and vision will play an integral role in furthering the office’s development and strengthening its presence within the Quebec and Canadian markets. In the role, Dufresne will lead creative for Quebec and/or Canada on brands like Air Canada, BMO, Belairdirect, BMW and the recently awarded Home Depot.
“I am thrilled to have Sylvain joining us and am looking forward to continuing our efforts to produce impactful, stand out work that creates magic and generates meaningful results for our partners. Sylvain will be a major asset in the office’s transformation, as we definitely share a common vision of how we plan to make FCB a key player in the industry,” notes Chebeir.
Dufresne brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the team, having worked on the launches and rebranding of diverse brands, such as La crème, La Cage, and Le Parc Olympique. He’s led award-winning campaigns for the Life Saving Society and relaunched Maxi’s with Martin Matte. Dufresne’s talents have contributed to six new business pitches for Publicis Montreal in the past 12 months.
“With the incredible, award-winning year the FCB Canada network has had, I couldn’t be more excited to join this family, and will utilize my experience to help contribute to the growing success that sets this network apart. I also have the pleasure of joining a partner I have worked with for many years and with whom I have developed both a great chemistry and complicity,” adds Dufresne.
