FCB today announced that Shannon McFarland has been named chief talent officer of Chicago.
As chief talent officer, Shannon will partner with FCB Chicago chief executive officer Kelly Graves and the leadership team to attract top talent, foster an inclusive working environment and build talent programs that champion the agency’s strategic vision.
“Shannon was a clear choice for us because she embodies a ‘people-first’ mentality and is passionate about growing diverse talent,” said Kelly. “She is a true partner from the moment you meet her, and I look forward to the impact she is going to have not only on our people, but also on our business and our culture.”
Shannon brings a diversified background to the agency with over 20 years of human resources experience at agencies including Leo Burnett and Mindshare. She was previously the SVP, head of human resources at rEvolution, a global sports marketing agency, where she helped scale the company in preparation for its next evolution of growth, including acquisitions and broadening capabilities.
Passionate about driving change and growth, Shannon was drawn to FCB because of its 'Never Finished' mantra. “I love the ambition that it signals, always aiming to push higher,” said Shannon. “This aligns with my values and my philosophy around the employee experience — ensuring employees are never finished growing, both personally and professionally, is my number one priority.”
Shannon joins the agency after its impressive showing at the 2022 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, where FCB was named 'North America Network of the Year' for the fourth consecutive year.
