As the official travel partner of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Expedia has partnered with Grammy-winning artist and Jazz Fest headliner Anderson .Paak to help travellers experience New Orleans like never before.
Today, Expedia introduced a new film that is, in essence, a love letter to New Orleans from Anderson and a group of local legends that will inspire travellers to plan their Jazz Fest trip. Expedia’s new film, “A Big Jam in New Orleans,” was directed by Louisiana-based director child. and features .Paak with local legends Secondline Jay5, Gregg Stafford, Iman Keilah, and Spy Boy Honey Bannister, with the Golden Sioux Mardi Gras Indians and other local voices capturing the sights, sounds, and soul of The Big Easy.
Throughout the film, Anderson .Paak travels to New Orleans with Expedia to jam alongside local legends and invites the world to experience the unique ‘gumbo’ of music, food, and culture that comes together in the city and during Jazz Festival weekends.
As part of the campaign, Anderson also created an exclusive travel guide for festival goers to experience the soul of the city during Jazz Fest, including exploring live performances on Frenchman Street, enjoying jazz at Preservation Hall, then grabbing delicious eats at local spots such as Jacques-Imo’s, Oceana Grill and Mahony’s Po-Boys & Seafood.
This campaign is part of Expedia’s overarching creative platform “Nothing Beats Being There” where the company brings to life different music and sports experiences to help inspire travellers to experience their favourite band or cheering on their favourite team in person.
