Engine has hired Will Lowe to lead Fuel, its marketing data and analytics consultancy, and promoted former CEO Charles Ping to the new position of Chairman as the company targets further UK and international growth.
Lowe joins Fuel from Callcredit Information Group, where he was Managing Director of its Marketing Services division. Prior to that, he led the Communications and Media Business at Dunnhumby, working with Tesco and other brands to leverage Clubcard data to grow sales in the UK and international markets.
These leadership changes come shortly after Fuel added another prestigious client to its roster, having been appointed to the Domino’s data and CRM account following a competitive three-way pitch. Fuel is now responsible for database development, analysis and deployment across all the brand’s channels. Other clients include Lexus, Toyota and Hammerson, for whom Fuel delivers a range of services from database management to strategic CRM and data planning.
Lowe’s remit will include continuing to grow the business in the UK whilst opening new revenue streams globally through the Engine network.
Commenting on his appointment, Will Lowe said: ”I’m delighted to be joining Fuel as CEO and the recent client wins are a reflection of Fuel’s ambitions and capabilities.”
“The landscape around data is changing fast with ongoing developments in analytics, regulation and technology adding complexity. Fuel, as part of the Engine Group of integrated agencies, is in a great position to be able to help many of the UK’s leading companies to navigate through these developments. We will continue to support our clients in understanding their customers, building engagement and delivering profitable growth, both in the UK and around the world.”
Debbie Klein, CEO of Engine Europe and Asia said: “Will is a great addition to our senior management team, and these changes underline our commitment to growing our data proposition both in the UK and internationally. I have every confidence that he is the right person to lead Fuel’s talented and rapidly expanding team.”
