Apple brings together a Elvis Presley impersonators from across the globe in a new ad for its Group FaceTime function.
Titled ‘A Little Company’, the film is set to the King’s ballad ‘There’s Always Me’ and features the worldwide selection of Elvises each making the song their own, brought together by the iPhone’s connective functionality. It was created in-house and directed by Dougal Wilson through Furlined.
Some of the impersonators have chosen to represent Elvis in his early rock n’ roll era while others have gone for his later personas, such as his Vegas phase and ‘Aloha from Hawaii’ incarnation.
Group FaceTime launched earlier this year. It allows up to 32 people to participate in the same video call at once.
Earlier this month, Apple released another holiday campaign called ‘Share Your Gifts’, combining stop motion filmmaking techniques with CGI to tell the story of a woman sharing her creative talents with the world.
