Electric Theatre Collective have bolstered its London production team with the arrival of executive producer, Grace Thorpe. Most recently at The Mill, Grace joins on her return from maternity leave, swapping an ‘ungodly amount of the wheels on the bus’ for high-end creative collaborations and budding client relationships.
Grace kicked off her production career at smaller VFX outfits such as Rushes and Prodigious, but in 2018 joined MPC (and later, The Mill), quickly impressing and rising through the ranks to EP. Her natural knack for problem-solving paired with her calm yet passionate demeanour has seen her produce campaigns with directors including Megaforce, Henry Schofield and François Rousselet. Whilst Megaforce’s ‘Night Creatures’ for Burberry will always have a special place in her heart, a music video for Madonna that comes up trumps for the most ‘unusual’ client. Natch.
Grace’s love of people and creative collaboration makes Electric her perfect home. “I love being the bridge between clients and creatives”, she comments. “Guiding projects from pitch to delivery means I’m involved with the entire process. I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into some post-mat-leave projects with faces old and new.”
Head of production, Matt Williams adds, “Grace is the perfect addition to our production team - calm and strategic, but with a love for the work and a sharp mind. She already feels like part of the Electric family and I know our clients will enjoy working with her.”
In her own words…
Grace> Never heard of them? ;) Hmm dead or alive...Bowie? That's HARD…
Grace> Actually, I’m more of a podcast listener on holiday. But if I was reading anything I’m ashamed to say it would more likely be a glossy mag. So final answer is Grazia x
Grace> See it, say it, sorted.
Grace> I loved the Netflix ‘You’re Not Ready' film Electric did recently. It looks amazing and would have been a fun one to help bring to life.
Grace> I feel like I should say something like The Third Man, but the first thing that came to my head was Nacho Libre? Maybe I’m more of a TV series person.
Grace> It’s getting warmer now so anywhere with a massive garden. This is cheating, but the all time greatest pub is actually Wetherspoons in Ramsgate... It’s gigantic - on the beach, great for people watching and is mega cheap.
Grace> The people who work here are very passionate, ridiculously talented and ultimately love working for a company that gives them an environment to thrive.
