Editor Amber Saunders Joins Cabin Editing Company

International creative editorial house, Cabin, welcomes award-winning editor Amber Saunders to its team. Saunders is known for crafting meaningful and intentional stories, with a raw sensibility. She is the newest addition to Cabin’s recently-launched European roster, which also includes editors Emma Backman, Dylan Edwards, Nik Kohler, Robert Lopuski, Carla Luffe, and Sam Ostrove.

Since becoming an editor, Saunders has worked as a freelancer and at Rapid Pictures, Whitehouse Post, and ZED/Marsheen. She has cut commercials, music videos, short films, and documentaries, collaborating with global brands such as Meta, Sony, Viktor & Rolf, H&M, Nike, Gucci, New Balance, FKA Twigs, BBC, The Guardian, and more. She is drawn to editing movement, with a nuanced rhythm carried over from her athletic days. Even with her focus on powerful visual cuts, emotion remains key. Her projects are narrative-driven, full of energy, and resoundingly human. She recently edited a compelling short documentary, The Black Cop, which went on to win in the Best British Short Film category at the 2022 BAFTA Awards. Saunders feels passionate about helping emerging Black and POC film editors navigate the film and advertising industry, and she mentors a handful of artists on her own and through BAFTA Connect, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ initiative to strengthen support for future creative leaders in the film, games, and television industries.
