With the appointment of Charley Stoney as CEO of the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA), the association has introduced its newly elected leadership team. Christian de la Villehuchet (Havas) has been re-confirmed as president, while several new members have joined the Board and Management Committee.
“I am deeply honored to have been reelected for another two years as President of the EACA. Since joining, I have focused on helping our members address the major challenges facing our industry, such as enhancing recognition of its value through the Effies Europe and the Effectiveness program, promoting diversity and inclusion, attracting young talent, and improving relationships with our client partners by redefining pitch policies and payment terms, among other initiatives.
In this new chapter, my priority will be to support Charley as our new CEO and help her become a transformative force for the EACA. Personally, I will ensure that we continue to support and defend our industry in these rapidly changing times globally and that our voice is as influential and impactful for our sector as it possibly can be!”, said Christian de la Villehuchet.
Caroline Fontaine, director general at AACC France, has been appointed as the new Chair of the National Associations’ Council (NAC) and joins the EACA Board.
“As the newly appointed NAC Chair for 2025-2027, I am honoured and excited to continue championing our industry at the European level, in close collaboration with other national associations. Our commitment remains steadfast in representing all our communication agencies - creative, media, PR, events, and more - while advocating for their interests with a focus on progress, innovation, and sustainability.
Additionally, serving on the EACA Board is a tremendous privilege, offering an invaluable opportunity to further strengthen our industry, drive ambition and dynamism, and foster collaboration across the sector”, said Caroline Fontaine.
Speaking of the newly formed Board, Charley Stoney, CEO, EACA said, "The industry has a huge opportunity right now to lead the way on AI, help create real social change through our creative communications and help rebuild consumer trust in our industry. My ambition for EACA is to provide the support and tools for the European advertising, media and communications sector to do just that. To achieve this, we need to surround ourselves with the very best people so I could not be more delighted with the expertise on our Board, Management Committee and the EACA Executive Team. To have Christian continue as President and for Caroline to join the Board is the icing on the cake!"
The EACA Management Committee will also benefit from the expertise of two new additions:
Starting in January 2025, the new leadership team will work to elevate the representation of agencies across Europe and leading initiatives in Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion, Effectiveness and Talent development among other topics, ensuring agencies play a central role in shaping the industry’s future.
