Duolingo Lands at Mother

Today, Duolingo announces (in many different languages) that Mother has been appointed to ideate and create content for the iconic Duolingo brand in the UK. The appointment follows a competitive pitch, against undisclosed agencies, and will also see Mother manage Duolingo’s UK TikTok account. 

Mother is now charged with developing Duolingo’s content in the UK, plus forming part of the global collective of specialists helping Duolingo stand out with engaging and entertaining content worldwide. 

Vairi MacLennan, head of content at Mother, said, “Of the brands playing strong game in content around the world, Duolingo is one we’ve long admired. Its place in the hearts of millions is assured, the great job we have now is to grow engagement across the UK and beyond.”

Rebeca Ricoy, regional marketing director at Duolingo (LATAM & Europe) added, “With Mother we have our first content and social partner in Europe - they impressed us in the pitch with their smart thinking and have continued that since with the creative ways they approach our challenges. Duo is very much looking forward to finding out what we’ve got planned for him in the UK.”

As part of the appointment, Duo - the official mascot of Duolingo, has taken up residence in the UK and will be a big part of the content Mother creates.
