OB42 continues to expand its creative ranks with the addition of prolific documentary filmmaker Martin Webb to its roster for global representation across commercial and branded entertainment work.
Known for his recent Emmy award-winning work on Formula 1 series Drive to Survive, and Break Point, Martin Webb is a London-based director and documentarian, whose work capturing intimate and often hard-hitting human stories has been picked up by the BBC, ITV and Netflix. After pivoting from the world of semi-professional football to filmmaking, Martin carved out a successful career covering tough subjects with nuance and sensitivity, shedding light on the worlds of refugees, athletes, journalists and death-row inmates.
Martin will be bringing his well-honed art of building trust and intimacy with his subjects to OB42’s commercial division, as the company continues to build its creative offering to agencies and brands looking to create work at the intersection of entertainment and advertising.
Clancie Brennan, managing director of OB42 comments, “Whether he’s delving into sporting franchises or telling stories about those on the fringes of society, Martin’s impressive body of work is always incredibly impactful and compelling. His ground breaking work on Drive to Survive played a huge part in transforming global interest in Formula 1, and we believe his signature documentary-style and talent will create truly culturally resonant and memorable work for brands. I can’t wait to begin this together!”
The addition of Martin Webb follows a series of recent commercial roster additions from the entertainment space, including Sebastian Thiel, the director behind #1 Netflix series Supacell, and SXSW winning duo Sam & David Cutler-Kreutz.
