DonerNorth announces Julie Haroutunian as general manager. In her role, Julie will lead the agency’s business leadership team and business development on the heels of recent wins and creative recognition, reporting to Doner COO Craig Conrad. This appointment occurs as DonerNorth further develops its digital-first brand building and growing conversion marketing category, doubling down on its investments in proprietary tools to power creativity and automated, AI-backed production.
“Clients today want an agency partner that can help their brand stand out in the marketplace and, at the same time, has the machine that drives conversion. That’s what we’ve built with DonerNorth,” said David DeMuth, CEO of Doner. “With Julie leading our team, we’re perfectly positioned to help grow and scale brands across North America.”
Julie joins DonerNorth after a career on both the client and agency side. Most recently, she led a 100-person team across account services, technology, project management, creative and strategy as VP, managing director at Cossette. Prior to that time, Julie held positions at doug&partners, Momentum Worldwide and Capital One.
“There is a growing need for talent that can architect solutions for the entire consumer journey and care about a brand’s engagement as much as a brand’s sales,” said Adrianne Gaffney Wotherspoon, chief strategy officer of DonerNorth. “With Julie joining our team, we have a dynamic leader to help us design solutions today’s clients most seek.”
Julie bolsters an awarded executive team that includes Wotherspoon, CCO Lance Martin, and SVP, integrated production Jen Dark. Collectively, they will ensure DonerNorth continues to drive brand experiences for clients including Edo Japan, Irving (Royale), Best Buy, Edgewell Personal Care (Schick, Hydro Silk, Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic), Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation, B&G Foods (Green Giant), and Subway Canada, where the agency has seen significant growth in successfully revamping the brand’s organic social presence, among others.
Julie begins her role immediately.
