DIRECTV will offer the best programming of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, with 80 journalists and professionals working in Doha, and will broadcast the 64 matches of the tournament, in 4K Ultra HD. In addition, it will produce 1,400 hours of its own content: information, everything that happens before and after each match, the analysis of those who know the most and interviews with the protagonists.
The coverage will be available on DGO and will be complemented by exclusive sections on the streaming platform that will enrich the experience of its users.
With less than a month to go before the event that will capture the attention of the entire world, DIRECTV and Togetherwith present the second part of 'Qatarsis', a campaign that brings users and customers the programming differentials and a preview of what it will be like the incredible experience that the leading entertainment company in Latin America will offer in the region.
The campaign is based on the coverage and content that DIRECTV will offer in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay to enjoy.
DIRECTV Sports, its exclusive sports channel, and DGO will broadcast much more than the World Cup. The transmission of the 64 matches, live and in 4K Ultra HD, will be complemented by the original content of DIRECTV Sports, DIRECTV Sports 2 and DIRECTV Sports +, the interactive mosaic with its multi-camera proposal and availability of the summaries of each match for access to the most important of each day.
In addition, eighty special envoys with journalists such as Juan Pablo Varsky, Enrique Macaya Márquez, Pablo Giralt and a large part of the DIRECTV Sport journalist staff will develop more than 1,400 hours of programming from the place where the 32 teams will seek a single objective: raise the glass.
“For football fans, there is no more wonderful feeling than the one generated during a World Cup. Rituals, meetings, celebrations and hugs around the transmission and coverage that only DIRECTV offers in each FIFA World Cup; everything that we summarize with the Qatarsis and that translates into the passion and emotion of seeing our team take the field,” said Lulo Calió, CCO and partner of Togetherwith.
Patricia Monkowski, branding director of Vrio, added: “We want the client to have an enriching experience and that the coverage of Qatar 2022 lives up to what the football fan expects, during the twenty-nine days of competition”.
“DIRECTV Sports is the only signal that will broadcast all the matches live, it will offer tools for users to choose the way to watch each match, 24/7 programming, information through its three signals and VOD content available on DGO. We are the flag bearers to live QATARSIS,” added Monkowski.
