Brooklyn and Los Angeles-based production company Greenpoint Pictures is pleased to announce the signing of Ghost + Cow to their roster for US representation. Ghost + Cow’s commercial and music video work has won numerous national and international awards, including Cannes Lions and One Show. Their work has screened at film festivals including Slamdance and SXSW and they have worked with brands including McDonald’s, Home Depot, Holiday Inn, Johnnie Walker, and British Airways.
The duo, consisting of John Carlucci and Brandon LaGanke, found their start making bizarre music videos and provocative short films, eventually evolving into directing commercials and branded content. Their work has been featured on multiple late night shows including Seth Meyers, Conan and Stephen Colbert, and in dozens of influential online and print publications. The duo was included in SHOOT’s 2014 New Director Showcase.
Says Michael Kuhn, Greenpoint Pictures’ Founding Partner: “I’m so excited that John and Brandon are joining the Greenpoint family. I’ve known Ghost + Cow for a long time now, and our paths have continued to cross over the years. Their work is dynamic and has some serious range. They make beautiful and compelling doc-style work, their comedy is laugh-out-loud funny and smart, and everything else they point their lenses at is just straight-up great."
Ghost + Cow received a Silver Lion at the 2018 Cannes Lions for directing the campaign for Home Depot’s Pinterest partnership. Additional work includes “Drone Boning,” which became global news, dubbed as the “world’s first aerial pornography;” their sketch, “Thoughts & Prayers” for Funny or Die which stars SNL’s Darrell Hammond; and most recently their short film/music video for the band Big Data, which just had its world premiere at the 2018 Telluride Horror Film Festival.
Says Ghost + Cow, “ We're really excited to be a part of Greenpoint Pictures. We knew immediately it was a right fit for us because of their dedication to understanding our work, and their interest in increasing its value. They have a great energy, and they our share our same family vibe. GP is the right place to bring us to the next level as artists and filmmakers and we are so excited to see where we will go together.”
