Digital agency Dept has announced the first speakers to take the stage during the third edition of the Dept Festival. After two successful editions, the organization expects a turnout of 2,000 digital creatives this year.
Among the first speakers are renowned designer Erik Kessels, the Buddhist master Tulku Lobsang and Jordan Watson, who became a worldwide phenomenon as a YouTube dad. Creative David Sheldon-Hicks tells film buffs everything about the digital design of Blade Runner 2049. In addition, TED heroes Anna Rosling Rönnlund and Michael Shellenberger give an inspiring talk about how technology can contribute to a better world.
Again, Dept returns to Thuishaven Amsterdam, where the festival will offer short, energetic talks, tech, dancing and networking. The basis for the festival were the ‘Talks’, that kicked off seven years ago and offered their own talents the opportunity to give the presentation of their lives. During this festival edition, there are again many speakers that work at Dept itself.
Paul Manuel, Co-Founder of Dept: “It makes me very proud to see that the Dept Festival is approaching its third edition. Also, we have grown, again, significantly this year and we have been able to add new front runners from Germany and Switzerland to our team. I look forward to welcoming all our colleagues, both from the Netherlands and abroad, for sun, sand and inspiration.”
The festival is invite only, but there is the possibility to get a ticket via
