Dentsu today announced the appointment of Annette Male to the role of chief executive officer, dentsu UK&I. Annette joined dentsu in July as chief client officer, UK&I and chief business officer for EMEA, in which she has been focused on driving integrated growth as well as leveraging the collective strengths and capabilities from with the UK&I to better meet clients’ needs.
After seven years at dentsu, and more than two years leading the UK&I business, Angela Tangas has decided to leave dentsu and return to Australia with her family. Throughout her time in the role, Angela has pioneered one dentsu in the UK&I, and built a strong culture of innovation and client solutioning; overseen the launch of Business Transformation (BX) and Dentsu Lab London – the first market to do so outside of Japan. She leaves behind a strengthened leadership team and strong baseline for improved growth in the UKI cluster.

Annette brings nearly 30 years of experience in marketing and technology having worked with a renowned portfolio of brands including HSBC, Visa, Disney, Nestle and Unilever. Before coming to dentsu, she held APAC leadership roles including heading up the global agency partnerships for Meta across the region. Prior to this, she served as the APAC CEO for both Wunderman Thompson and Digitas.

Changes will be effective 1st January 2025.
