The campaigns, created by agency Wieden+Kennedy NY aims to help singles get that match-scoring travel shot without ever leaving the city with #DeltaDatingWall.

Delta Air Lines has unveiled a painted wall on Wythe Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The artworks are designed to act as tongue-in-cheek assistants for dating. The wall allows passersby to snap that “rare” profile shot in front of the Eiffel Tower, London Phone Booths or Dutch Tulips. Just no duck faces, please.

There’s nothing like a selfie in a far-flung location to give your Tinder profile a leg up on the competition. Now, Delta Air Lines is helping New York singles get that match-scoring travel shot without ever leaving the city with #DeltaDatingWall.

In addition, illustrator Andrew Rae (The New York Times, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Variety) added some fun to the wall as well.

In total, nine destinations are represented on the wall - Honolulu, Paris, Los Angeles, Pisa, London, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Moscow, and Zurich - providing maximum backdrop variety, while celebrating the fact that Delta flies to the most destinations of any airline from New York City.

The wall will be on display throughout the summer and the campaign includes a singles-centric event. On June 17th, Delta, in partnership with Tinder, will make it even easier for you to score that perfect profile picture by giving you the chance to take your headshot with a professional photographer.

The insight for the campaign initially came about as we looked across the NYC online dating scene and noticed the overwhelming prominence of travel pics. From Machu Picchu sexy selfies to Eiffel Tower downward facing duck faces, they were everywhere. As we delved further, we found singles research that backed up our initial assumptions, finding that:

*62% of men and 74% of women want a partner who shares their travel interests

*1 in 2 singles say travelling is one of their favourite things to do

*1 in 2 singles say travelling to a new city to meet a date would be exciting

*1 in 3 singles ranked travel as a top priority in 2017

*57% of singles take 1+ vacations year

*1 in 3 singles try to go somewhere different for vacation every time they travel

In addition to The Delta Dating Wall, the airline has also commissioned another wall in the middle of Brooklyn's Smorgasburg. Designed by illustrator Hide Your Kids, the painting invites you to 'Go Where Your Food Is From'. The mural will be on display throughout the summer as part of Delta’s Destination Walls campaign.

The campaigns, created by agency Wieden+Kennedy New York, are all part of Delta's initiative 'New York Is Go', celebrating the airline’s travellers, the 133 destinations out of New York and its de facto status as the city’s number one airline.
