British film director Dan Cadan, represented by London based production company The Graft, has released his new music video for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
Cadan directs a video of pure Northern class for 'Black Star Dancing', the latest single from Noel Gallagher taken from the forthcoming EL of the same name. Dan directs the video with the boy wonder who conceived the idea, northern powerhouse, Scully.
The film takes us back to the social clubs of yesteryear for the new music video inspired by the 70's British TV show, The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club. Noel and the band star as headliners. Cadan and Scully trawled through 32 hours worth of archives to find an authentic audience and atmosphere, fusing together old and new.
Dan Cadan says: “Recreating the Wheeltappers stage was a craic, from the curtains down to the fluorescent cardboard signs advertising. ‘Peas on a Saucer’ for 5p. Noel and the band gave a brilliant performance on the stage which we intercut with our friends from The Wheeltappers. So, if you’re looking for salt of the earth music and cheap pie ’n peas, you’re in for a winner. This music video has it all”.
