D&AD today announces the appointment of Patrick Burgoyne to the D&AD Trustee Board, effective immediately. D&AD's Trustees are senior practitioners drawn from the creative community and give their time freely and voluntarily.
Patrick Burgoyne recently stepped down from Creative Review - where he had presided as editor for nearly 20 years. Latterly he introduced a new bi-monthly schedule for the magazine and a paywall that has successfully generated new audiences and revenues.
D&AD CEO Tim Lindsay said: “When we got wind of Patrick's departure from Creative Review we snapped him up before anyone else got the chance. He has great commercial and editorial experience, is highly respected and well connected in the design community and beyond, and he writes and presents beautifully. He will be invaluable to D&AD - helping us with content curation, programming the Festival, engaging with the design industry and much else besides. We couldn't be more pleased.”
Patrick Burgoyne said: “I've always loved what D&AD stands for and their new programs - the Festival, Impact, Shift, the digital campus - set an outstanding example to the industry in terms of where we need to go and how we can get there. I look forward to getting involved.”
