Coffee & TV’s Martin Allan has directed Freesat’s new brand campaign ‘Live Life Free’, which launches this week. Coffee & TV worked on full creative production, from shoot through to visual effects and colour, collaborating with TMW agency to create Ossi and Pod and establish their world as they set off on an exploration of life above the sea.
The ad launches Freesat’s new creative brand platform, encouraging viewers to explore the entertainment on offer through the story of Ossi and Pod, who leave their underwater home to explore a vibrant fairground. The pair quickly begin to enjoy the world of free entertainment that was always, literally, just above their heads.
The character design was led by Josh George, working closely with TMW’s motion department Move Studio to find the right balance of cuteness, reality and brand identity. Using a mix of live action and CG environments, boarded out to create a bespoke solution for each individual shot.
